I just finish watching a 30 min documentry featuring a Muslim family living in Singapore. It is good to see something like this in a Sunday morning .Singapore is a multi- ethnic country although it is just a small red dot on the map.
Back to the topic, the documentry is about the harmony and bond in a big family. The family have five lovely children aged around 1 to 10 years old.All the children in the family were boys. So you can imagine how difficult it is to take good care of them since all of them are still kids~!The youngest child is about more than a year old only. Both parents have diffiulties to cope with daily expenses because they were not earning much. There was a part when the elder brother said that “I want all my brothers to be together”. This show the strong bonds between the children 🙂 . Four big brothers taking care of their baby brother giving all the care and attention he wants. This give them a sense of responsibility to take good care of each other in future and stay together as a family. They also have to share goodies and toys.I think their parents are proud of them so do I.
In the show, the family celebrate Mid Autumn too. A traditional festival for the Chinese to celebrate the Mid-autumn on the 15th day of the eighth Chinese lunar month. Many children will be lighting up lantern for that day. Some children will also play with the candles. It is so much fun. I too experience it before lighting up my lantern playing with my family and other kids. A packet of lanterns and candles doesn’t cost much but it is guarantee to bring a lot of fun for the family. Those good times will become a part of the memories for a lifetime. ( I will post up photos too when the festival is around the corner 🙂 *children and adults playing* ). Love it! haha ~ It bring back those childhood memories of mine.
Towards the last part of the documentry, the family went for a outing!~ It is the youngest child first birthday :). At first, I thought that they might be going to the Zoo. Guess what it was the Changi Airport!!!The parent decided to bring them to the airport because they often went there for dates before getting married. It is also a promise to their children to celebrate the baby boy first birthday somewhere else. Before heading to the airport , they went to neighbourhood bakery shop to buy a birthday cake with small toy cars on top of it.Although the boys didn’t say anything during the trip, their face expression tells that they were all excited about it. 🙂 Both parents didn’t travel out of Singapore before so they wonder how was the world like outside Singapore.Because of this, they hope that their children will be able to explore the world out there in future. 🙂 🙂 🙂
All the best to them! 🙂 😉 🙂
